List of mini web applications
Please find below the list of mini-applications among form you can select the one you’d like to develop as a commitment for you participation. Each team member must select at least one and submit it as a ZIP file as described in the right section.
| Auction Site | A portal where registered users can sell items and other people can bid to them. Portal needs authentication, auction and selling part, etc. | | Banner Creator | On this site you can create you own banner using texts, images and videos. The final banner can be downloaded to your PC. Might use Silverlight. | | Blog | A simple embeddable blog engine with which users are able to post new blogposts and readers are able to submit comments. It also needs authentication, etc. | | Calendar | A place where you can create new appointments, you can invite attendees ... | | Chat | A web-chat application where users can open chatrooms, joing them and chat with the others - both wide and 1:1. | | CMS | The Simplest CMS system - a web based website creation tool. Must be able to create menus and contents with 2 or 3 simple webpage templates. | | Create your own Pizza | On-line pizza shop. Users would be able to create the pizza from the ingredients. It has to have a price calculator, different sizes, etc. | | CRM | A simple web-based software for customer service. The portal is able to store clients, contact people per client, account managers and tasks/events for given clients and account managers. | | Elearning | Webportal where curriculum can be posted in a special format. The Curriculums can be viewed by registered users. A curriculum contains slides, slidenotes, descriptions and simple exercises. | | ePayment | A Virtual Banking System, where you can create account, send and receive virtual money throught a web interface to other users.. The security is very important with this application. | | Equation editor | A site where you can visually create equations using mathematical symbols, just like a simple version of MS Word's equation editor. | | File Explorer | A file explorer written in ASP.NET with AJAX. The purpose is to have an embeddable application which could be used at websites with "upload" tasks. | | Forum | A simple forum application where you can create new topics and you can write posts to an existing topic. It must be able to handle threads, moderation and such. | | Gallery | A place where people can share their categorized photos. Users must be able to register, create albums and tag their photos. Tagging is available to other users as well. | | Genealogy | Genealogy site where you can post relatives data, and the system tries to match people in the genealogy trees. | | General Event registration page | Site where you can upload the properties of your event and the portal will generate the desired registration form. The registered users can be downloaded after the registration and the process can be monitored any time. | | Image Editor | Simple raster-based Paint software in the browser. Users must be able to download their work. | | Mail | Simple webmail client based on any known protocol or mail server with the usual features. | | Multiplayer poker | Web based multiplayer poker game with Texas Hold'Em rules. Users can play against each other at tables for 4 to 6 people. | | News Portal | Portal where news can be posted by the admin in categories and readers are able search and read in the database. Readers can comment the news as well. The opening page of the portal includes the top 5 news from every category. | | Noughts&crosses | Multiplayer webbased noughts&crosses with statistics and highscore table. | | Poll Wizard | Simple voting engine. You can phrase a question and give possible answer alternatives with timeframes. During and after the voting, you can follow the statistics. | | Postcard sender | A portal where you can create a postcard from templates and clip arts, then send it throught email to any email address. | | Quiz | Simple quiz engine where you can create tests and registered users are able to answer it. The page can generate statistics about the progress of the test takers. | | Screenshot of re-designed MS-sites | If you are a designer and not interested in the programming stuff but would like to contribute, you can re-design sites and send us the screenshot of the redesigned webpage with the sliced images as well. Via a wizard, users must be able to create questions and pages with answers. | | T-Shirt Designer page | Create your own T-shirt! Select from clip arts and templates and then create and order your T-shirt on-line. | | Vectorgraphical Image Editor | Simple web-based vectorgraphical image editor. Can use Silverlight. | | Video Sharing | Place where you can upload and watch videos, just like any video sharing website. Silverlight usage is preferred. | | Web advertising engine | A webpage where you can upload banners (images, texts, Silverlights) and with the help of the portal you can set desired display rate or number of appareance and after that the portal will distribute (on partner portals) and monitor your advertisement. | | Web file Share | Place where you can upload files and you are able to share it with other users. | | Webmessenger | Simple Webmessenger Client for Live Messenger. | | Webshop | A portal where you can upload your stock and then users can shop and buy them. A typical e-shop engine with categories, special offers and so forth. |
